Australian Geomechanics is the journal of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS). Published quarterly, it includes a selection of quality peer-reviewed papers with a particular focus on topics relevant to Australasia.

The AGS is planning to produce a dedicated issue of the Australian Geomechanics journal in 2021 containing papers written by female geotechnical professionals (as the main author or a co-author). The aim is to encourage more women to share their technical knowledge in written form, and to provide exposure for those who participate in this special issue.

If you are interested, please also consider getting involved and writing a paper yourself. Submissions should be sent through the usual process, as explained at https://australiangeomechanics.org/journal/. The AGS are targeting the second half of 2021 for this journal issue, so let’s aim to have papers submitted by the end of April 2021 at the latest.

If you have any questions about this, please contact the AGS Chair Nina Levy.
