The NZGS is seeking passionate and proactive member to join our Management Committee in co-opted role. This is a unique opportunity to influence how the Society connects, grows, and supports our geotechnical community across Aotearoa and beyond.
Young Geo-Professionals (YGP) Representative
Are you an early-career geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist eager to make a difference?
As the YGP Representative, you’ll be the voice for young professionals in NZGS – inspiring engagement, organising events and building strong connections across New Zealand and internationally.
What’s in it for you:
- Represent young professionals at the national level.
- Build your leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Connect with peers globally through IAEG, ISSMGE, and ISRM YGP networks.
- Help shape the future of our profession.
Commitment: Approximately 8 hours per month, plus attendance at four annual committee meetings.
Term: 2 years.
