Geotechnical Rapid Building Assessment (RBA) Guidelines
Limited to 30 participants. Register to book your place to: rori@rgconsulting.co.nz
Presented by Rori Green
Your Christchurch NZGS Branch coordinators, Izak Breytenbach and Rori Green cordially invite you to join us for drinks, nibbles, a brief presentation and a brainstorming session. Rori Green will kick off the evening with a short presentation on the ongoing work to update the Geotechnical Rapid Building Assessment (RBA) guidelines. This includes a new RBA rapid risk assessment methodology as well as information about the Geotech RBA training that MBIE will be rolling out across the motu in the next year. For those not familiar, Rapid Building Assessments are undertaken in response to disaster events, with geoprofessionals getting involved when there is landsliding that poses a risk to buildings and the people using them. It is a voluntary role and MBIE is responsible providing a team of trained assessors for this important work to help our communities after a disaster.
For the remainer of the evening, we invite you to join in a brainstorming session about future ideas for our NZGS Christchurch Branch
