 March Construction has been engaged by Christchurch City Council for the Design & Build of a Cutter Soil Mixed (CSM) cut off wall to enable dewatering of the clarifier tanks.  CSM is a technique whereby the soil is mixed using two large hydraulic cutter wheels to form 2.8m by 600mm rectangular panels.  In late 2025, March was engaged by CCC for ECI Services to develop the dewatering methodology to facilitate emptying of the clarifier tanks and implementing of CSM and TAM grouting trial works. March is now underway with constructing the CSM panels, a total of 516m of panels will be installed and TAM grouting 45m in length.
