The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is consulting on proposed changes to the occupational regulation of engineers. The NZGS management committee has been working with Engineering NZ, SESOC, NZSEE and SFPE to develop feedback. Because of the limited timeframe for this we have not had an opportunity to present our final feedback to our members for ratification.

We have been through a thorough review process, including reviews by senior members of the profession outside the management committee, and we are confident that our feedback is robust and a good reflection of the needs of our members.

If you plan to make your own submission to MBIE you are welcome to make use of the content in our document, if appropriate.
