NZGS is seeking expressions of interest for a Tauranga Branch Coordinator to help connect and support geotechnical professionals in the Bay of Plenty.

The branch farewells Rhiannon Robinson as Branch Coordinator, as she steps into her new role as part of the NZGS Management Committee. We thank Rhiannon for her efforts in organising branch activities.

NZGS branches play a key role in bringing members together at a local level through technical presentations, site visits, and networking events.

The role involves:

  • Organising several local events per year (technical, site-based or social with technical theme)
  • Providing brief activity reports twice a year for Geomechanics News
  • Acting as a liaison between local members and the NZGS Management Committee

This is a great opportunity to contribute to the profession, build networks, and shape local geotechnical conversations in Tauranga.

Interested?
Please sent EOI to both secretary@nzgs.org and branches@nzgs.org outlining your background and interest in the role.

Deadline for EOI: 27 March 2026
