Australian Geomechanics Society Engineering Geology Course
This is an end of financial year reminder about the AGS’s Engineering Geology course. There are only a handful of free places remaining, so if you are interested we suggested
you register quickly.
This course will be delivered for the 5th time from Saturday 2nd to 10th November 2019. It is based at the University of Wollongong and at
sites on the south coast of New South Wales.
The objective of the course is to teach participants how to apply geological field skills to help solve engineering problems. This will be carried out by using guided field exercises, in which the participants learn by carrying out realistic project related work, in the field, whilst being supervised by experienced practitioners.
The course is designed primarily for early career engineering geologists and also for geotechnical engineers with a sound understanding of geological principals.
The course is accreditedfor 6 credit points at the University of New South Wales Master of Engineering Science degree and hence it is assessed accordingly
