Summary

The seminar will focus on earthquake resistant retaining wall design in engineering practice with direct reference to the recently published MBIE & NZGS guidelines document, Module 6: Earthquake resistant retaining wall design. Comprehensive coverage of the Guidelines will be given together with explanations of the context within New Zealand’s building regulations. Practical worked examples will be used to demonstrate design procedures in detail.
