NZGS Seismic Design Guidelines

The NZGS is pleased to announce the publication of the “Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering Practice ” guideline.  This 1st Module  is  a  guideline for the identification, assessment and mitigation of liquefaction hazards.

The technical material supporting this document contains clear statements for making assessments, whilst plainly differentiating between methods for different soils.  The material is presented in an easy-to-read format with a clear hierarchy of information.

The  guideline aims to provide authoritative material to help engineers address geotechnical issues related to the design of buildings and structures, particularly when using AS NZS 1170.
