An invitation is now being extended to the whole Rock Mechanics community, for nomination for the Rocha Medal 2012.
Each nomination shall conform to the ISRM By-law No. 7, to be found at the ISRM website www.isrm.net namely as concerns Article 3, and shall be received by the ISRM Secretary-General not later than 31 December 2010.

The recipient must be a member of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society and be below the age of 35 at the time of presenting the paper at the conference.

Criteria for the awards are:
Less than 10 years work experience
35 years of age or younger
Financial member of the society
No more than two awards to an individual
